Assessing Textbook Collections

A textbook collection was established at Coastal Carolina University 2018. The results of this two year study indicate that students who checked out textbooks were less likely to fail or withdraw from their courses than those students who did not and the courses with textbooks available in the library had a greater reduction in DFW rates. This presentation will discuss a variety of methods to collect and analyze qualitative and quantitative data to evaluate the use and impact of the textbook collection.
