UMBC’s Albin O. Kuhn Library & Gallery is turning the spotlight on campus researchers! The Library has created a collaborative guest lecture series where members of the university’s community (researchers, artists, authors, staff, faculty and graduate students) share their research and creative endeavors in a one-hour talk hosted in the library.

Semhar Yohannes – Science Reference and Instruction Librarian, University of Maryland, Baltimore County
Semhar Yohannes has been serving as a Science Reference and Instruction Librarian for nearly a decade. In her current role at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC), she teaches library instruction sessions, conducts reference consultations, and has developed workshops and other outreach initiatives. In 2018, she obtained her Master of Public Health (MPH) degree with a concentration on health literacy in young adults.
Susan Graham – Special Collections Librarian, University of Maryland, Baltimore County
Susan Graham is the Special Collections Librarian at the Albin O. Kuhn Library & Gallery of the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC), where she works with the photography, popular culture, rare books, alternative press, radical literature, and digital collections. She also teaches archival, visual, and information literacy in the Special Collections. She holds B.A.s in Visual Arts (concentration in Photography) and Anthropology from UMBC and obtained her MLS in 2007 from the College of Information Studies at the University of Maryland, College Park. During her graduate studies, she worked as a graduate assistant in the conservation lab and in the Preservation Department of the University of Maryland Libraries.
