Integration Lessons

Integration Lessons and Workshops

 Incorporating Design Thinking
Facilitator: Dr. Kate Allman
Description:  In this workshop, you will explore how to engage students in the design thinking project using the Tinkercard app for 3D design.
Lesson Plan: Design-Thinking and 3-D Printing Kate Allman (4_21_20)

Beginning Robotics and Programming_DashDotandCue
Use seven apps to build skills in block-based coding, text-based coding, voice detection, sound recording, infrared emitters (IR), object detection and more.

Integrating Science into Making_Electricity
– Create a circuit to make a “light-up” card

Integrating Making into instructions_Math – Design a pair of six-sided dice…

Integrating Making into Instruction_Engineering_Kudo
– Water Filtration – Engage in the design thinking process and engineer a water filter using ordinary materials.

3D Printing – Basic Features
Facilitators: Debbie Fuller and Duane Smith March 9 & 10, 2020.
Faculty will learn the basic features of 3D printing: file types, materials for printing, and setup for the Ultimaker printer.
3D Printing Basic Features
