Frequently Asked Questions

Unless you are a recent transfer student or recently declared yourself as a psychology major, your advisor can be found on your Student Center page through Peoplesoft. You can also select to meet with an advisor on the Psychology Advising Team. Their information can be found under the Contact Us tab.

You need to meet with either your assigned advisor or a member of the Academic Advising team.

There is a form that you need to complete by going to Peoplesoft and then finding your Academic Requirements Page on your Student Center Page. Once complete, you must email it to your assigned advisor or a member of the Academic Advising team.

Students get higher priority registration with the more credits they earn. Therefore, if you are unable to get into a course now, you should be able to in upcoming semesters. If you can't get into your desired course, we encourage you to look at your core requirements for the university, other psychology courses, or electives outside of the psychology major. Many students are unaware that they might have to complete several elective courses outside of the psychology major and their core requirements to meet the credit requirement to graduate.

This information is not always posted. About a month before enrollment begins, a date will be posted under the Enrollment tab on the on the left-hand side of your Student Center page.

You can access your Student Center by logging into your Peoplesoft account, clicking on Peoplesoft Desktop Menu, and then selecting Student Center from Self Service. Click here for more information
