Internships

Are you interested in finding an internship in psychology? There are several ways to do this.

Through Towson’s Career Center

The Career Center has connections with many sites that can offer internships. You can find more info about this on their website and can find specific internships through Towson’s Handshake app.

Through the Department of Psychology

The Department of Psychology frequently offers a course (PSYC 435) that provides an opportunity to gain internship experience while earning course credit. Learn more about the qualifications and timeline for this opportunity.

Through the Fisher College of Science and Math

If you’re interested in more of a science-based internship, look at the summer opportunities through FCSM.

On Your Own!

Although not all businesses will take students for internships if they aren’t enrolled in a course, many still will! Therefore, you should search the websites of businesses for internship opportunities, and/or reach out to them directly to inquire about them.

Through the American Psychological Association (APA)

APA is the most prominent professional psychological organization in the United States. Located in Washington DC, they have many opportunities for internships (both on-site and remote) for interested applicants.
