Today in TU History: The War on Gum Begins

On January 27th, 1932, Miss Osborn, the Maryland State Normal School librarian, Miss. Osborn, is given permission by the faculty to write up students who refuse to spit out their gum. Said students would be sent to Principal Tall’s office to be dealt with accordingly.

Today in TU History: Cook Library Gets a Touch Up

Before the Cook Library we know and love, Maryland State Normal School students went to Stephens’ Hall to check out their books. On this day, January 10th, 1917, the Stephens’ library underwent renovations to make room for new books; old and worn out books were replaced with newer editions.
