“It’s the best and most emotionally resonant animated short film I’ve seen yet in 2018… Infused with the sweep of history and a sense of loss.” – Cameron Meier
“Snaps millions of frames with total devotion. Turns paper and clay into brilliant stop-motion” – Olivia Isenhart

Her newest film, The Elephant’s Song, premiered at the Maryland Film Festival in May 2018, received Best of Festival and Best Animation awards at the Peekskill Film Festival, and the Award of Merit for Animation from the University Film and Video Association. The Elephant’s Song is currently screening in international festivals, including Aesthetica Short Film Festival (U.K.), Vaasa Wildlife Film Festival (Finland), Hiroshima International Animation Festival, Edmonton International Film Festival, San Jose International Short Film Festival, and the Chesapeake Film Festival.
The Elephant’s Song tells the true and tragic tale of Old Bet, the first circus elephant in America, as recounted in song by her friend the old farm dog. Their story is portrayed in colorful, handcrafted animation, created frame by frame with clay-on-glass animation, where oil-based modeling clay is spread thinly on a glass sheet and moved frame-by-frame like a moving finger painting.
