Following up on last night’s alert, an extended and unexpected power outage in the University Union has required that we keep the Union Data Center offline. We anticipate that it could be offline through tomorrow morning. Facilities is working around the clock to resolve the power issues, and OTS and Facilities are working together to resolve the data center issues.
Critical university services such as email, Blackboard, PeopleSoft, phones, the university web site, and file shares continue to remain online. Certain applications that are not redundant across datacenters may be offline; this may include certain departmental business applications and academic or research servers.
