Air conditioning in one of the university’s datacenters (Union Datacenter) has gone offline unexpectedly. Rising temperatures are creating risk to server and network equipment in the datacenter, so all services are being taken offline in that datacenter.
Critical university services such as email, Blackboard, PeopleSoft, phones, the university web site, and file shares should remain online, but certain applications that are not redundant across datacenters will be offline. The outage is likely to continue until at least sometime on Saturday.
