“My favorite thing to do around campus is to go to the tea shops in uptown or go grab a bite to eat. The area surrounding the campus has amazing eateries and cafes where you can study with a nice cup of tea or a cookie, or go grab a nice meal with friends.” –Lauren Cunningham ’21

Uptown food and drink places include Kung Fu Tea (mentioned by multiple surveyed current students), Holy Cow, Insomnia Cookies, Seasons Pizza, The Bun Shop, Towson Hot Bagels, and Pho Dat Thanh. There are also chain favorites nearby like Subway, Chipotle, and Domino’s. There are also a variety of food places in Towson Town Center, ranging from sit down locations like The Cheesecake Factory, TGI Friday’s, and PF Chang’s to chain places like Chick-Fil-A and Burger King. There are also snacks and desserts, as well as other varied cuisines!

“ABP is one of my favorite places to get food. They offer a variety of options, like made to order sandwiches and salads, and also soups and fresh bakery items.” –Sam Frank ’22

Au Bon Pain (ABP), located right down the stairs from Freedom Square in the Hawkins Hall/Psychology building, is one of the most popular eateries on campus mentioned by surveyed current Honors students, brought up almost 15 times!

“The Den is SO good! It’s not good for you, but the food is amazing and that’s where I go when I need some comfort food. ABP and Susq are also good options, and the pasta station in west village dining hall.”  –Mary Martin ’20

Though Susquehanna (lovingly referred to by students as “Susq”) is currently closed for construction, it will reopen in 2021! The Den, located in the basement of Newell’s dining hall, is a cozy eatery with a variety of options, including pasta and pizza, a deli, breakfast options, salads, and sandwiches , filled with comfortable booths.

My favorite place to eat on campus is the cafe in the admin building. Think about it, the president and provost work there, so that means the food is bomb! –Jason Wong ’20

Several academic or office buildings around campus have food within them as well. 7720 Cafe is located in the Administration building, offering grill options, made-to-order deli, soups, salads, and snacks. There are also Cafés on the 2nd floor of the Center for Fine Arts, 4th floor of the Liberal Arts building, and 1st floor of Stephens Hall. You can find Starbucks in the Library and Rec Fuel in the gym if you’re looking for coffee or smoothies, respectively.
