Short Bio
Woosub Jung is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer & Information Sciences at Towson University. Before joining, he obtained his Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from William & Mary (W&M) under the supervision of Dr. Gang Zhou in 2023.

Dr. Jung’s research has been published in top-tier venues, including UbiComp, IPSN, and SenSys. He won the prestigious awards from W&M for his excellence in research, the Distinguished Dissertation Award and the Graduate Park Award. Dr. Jung was also awarded the Best PhD Forum Presentation Runner-up at SenSys’22 and the Commonwealth Cyber Initiative (CCI) Dissertation Fellowship for his research in IoT security and privacy. His work has been recognized by the 2020 Elsevier Smart Health Most Downloaded Paper Award.

Previously, he received his Bachelor of Science in Information and Communication in 2009 and Master of Science in Electronics and Computer Engineering in 2011 from Hanyang University, Korea (the Republic of).
