Located in Hawkins Hall 210, the Sandbox is a collaborative environment where College of Education faculty and students apply the design thinking process to promote making and create relevant, engaging learning experiences.
Sandbox resources include the ClearTouch interactive panel, Soltice Pods for screen sharing, programmable robots, circuit building kits, and 3D printers allow College of Education students to gain first-hand experience with the tools of 21st-century schools. In addition, the Sandbox environment enables students to work together as they identify problems and create solutions while proceeding through the five stages of design thinking: Empathize, Define, Ideate, Prototype, and Test.
