Lab 3 – Tangent Lines and Linear Approximation

2. The secant line of \( f(x) \) from \( x = a \) to \( x = b \) is the line that goes through the point \( (a, f(a)) \) and \( (b, f(b)) \). The SageMath app below graphs \( y = f(x) \), secant line of \( f(x) \) from \( x = a \) to \( x = b \), and the tangent line of \( f(x) \) at \( x = a \) for the specified values of \( f(x) \), \( a \), and \( b \). This app also computes and displays the corresponding secant and tangent lines. (Note that you can change the display window by modifying “xmin” and “xmax” below the picture.) Use the app below to answer the questions in your lab report.
