Director
Jared J. McGinley, Ph.D. is an associate professor in the Department of Psychology at Towson University. He is the director of the Emotion Science Lab. He received a B.A. in Psychology with a minor in Religion from Rutgers University – New Brunswick. He then went on to complete his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Biological Psychology at Virginia Tech. He has received research training in a variety of research labs. This training includes brain imaging, psychophysiological, secondary data analytic, and animal research methods.
His research interests are:
Emotion, Emotion Regulation, Empathy, Heart Rate Variability, Adaptability and Resilience

Nicole Golabi has graduated with a degree in psychology from Towson and is assisting in research in their gap year. She has plans to go to graduate school for forensic or cognitive/neuro psychology.

Lauren Terry has recently graduated with a B.S in psychology, and is currently working at Sheppard Pratt during her gap year. After her gap year, she plans to apply to medical school with the hopes of becoming a psychiatrist.
