‘Charmed’ start to career for this alumna

Jenifer Rawlings ’13 (BUAD) began her career as marketing coordinator for key accounts with the popular global jewelry brand PANDORA just days before graduating with her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Marketing in 2013. Her quick launch into the career world was aided by her involvement in The Associate competition at Towson University.

Towson U student entreprenuer talks beer and business

While Friday’s Entrepreneur Fireside Chat got off to a five-minute late start last week, launching late is not always a bad thing when  it comes to releasing your initial product, said student entrepreneur Bobby Gattuso.

“You have to understand and know when you’re ready to [take] those big steps. … [You have to] really understand when it’s ready to properly launch,” he explained to the group of students and faculty members gathered for the weekly chat presented by the Minor in Entrepreneurship and Student Launch Pad.

MentHER continues to empower undergraduate and high school women

MentHER kicked off its seventh year of building impactful relationships among women across different generations on Friday with a “speed dating”-style networking event at the College of Business and Economics.

The year-long mentoring program pairs professional businesswomen with eight female TU undergraduate business students like Alice George, a sophomore studying international business and international studies, who said she hopes to gain more than just professional advice from the program.
