How Do I Combine PDFs?

You may need to combine multiple PDFs into a single file for your edTPA portfolio. For example, you may have an assortment of instructional materials, but you are only allowed to upload a single Word document or PDF for Task 1, Part C. Your options depend on the technology you have available.

Using a Mac

You can use the built-in Preview program to combine PDFs.

Using Windows

The best option is to use Adobe Acrobat DC if you already have it. It is not a free program, but you can get a free trial for 7 days. Select this link for the steps to combine PDFs using Adobe Acrobat.

There are many websites offering to combine PDFs, but some are not actually free, and some even carry malware. You may wish to re-scan your documents into a single file instead.

Scanning into One File

Remember, when you are scanning, you can scan multiple pages into the same file. Please refer to the How Do I Scan Documents? page for more details.
