Description

  • Due to its diverse data types and various data collection processes, health information is inherently hard to keep track of. Even though everyone has their own medical records of some kinds, those are typically spread over multiple places and new data is generated continuously. When it comes to personal healthcare, those records need to be compiled and analyzed as a whole. However, making such records interoperable and accessible when needed is non-trivial. Our approach to solve such problems is multifaceted. We first start out with the implementation of a metaverse platform, design of interoperable health information architecture-based information hierarchy, standard based medical records, and use of digital twin for diagnosis and prognosis in a metaverse platform. We aim to build an enterprise level health information architecture that is interoperable and enables permission-based access for the improvement/maintenance of personal healthcare.

Our work in progress

  • Interoperable Health Information Architecture
    • A cloud-based health information architecture where each individual’s medical records and sensor data can be stored
  • Standard based electronic/personal health records
    • Natural language processing and knowledge graph implementation
    • Use of standard medical code mapping for health-related data whenever applicable
  • Customized e-learning for potential diseases
    • Development of learning materials
  • Use of metaverse platform for digital twin for personal healthcare
  • Sensor network and its security for digital twin
  • Digital twin based personal healthcare
