Reporting to the Information Security Manager – Engineering and Operations, the Cybersecurity Operations Engineer I works closely with other IT groups and serves as the front-line defense against cyber-attacks on Towson University information systems. This position is responsible for initial triage and investigation of real-time alerts and events on Towson University security platforms. Additionally, the analyst will perform day-to-day operations activities on the other security platforms designed to contribute to the overall security program of Towson University. Finally, the candidate is expected to promote security best practices within the Office of Technology Services (OTS) and university-wide business units. Telework may be available for this position up to two days per week following the completion of 90 days of service in good standing.
