Dr. Sandra Llera (she/her) is a Professor of Psychology at Towson University, and the director of the Llera Laboratory for Emotion Regulation and Anxiety Research. She received her Ph.D. from the Pennsylvania State University in 2011 and joined the Department of Psychology at Towson University in 2012. Dr. Llera’s dissertation focused on the emotional sequelae of chronic worry in generalized anxiety disorder (GAD). She completed her clinical internship at the University of Virginia counseling center, and a year of post-doctoral teaching as an adjunct faculty at George Mason University.

Graduate Students
Nicholas Myers received his B.S. in Psychology from Towson University in 2016, and is currently a Master’s candidate in TU’s M.A. in Psychology, Clinical Concentration. His research focuses on the complex relationship between childhood maltreatment, anxiety disorders, and dissociative experiences. Currently, he is completing a year-long research internship at Johns Hopkins Hospital focused on early intervention for children at risk of developing anxiety disorders.
