Towson University has been a leader in teacher preparation for over 150 years, with programs recognized for their high quality and innovation. The College of Education uses Mursion’s virtual training technology to complement and evolve its teacher preparation programs. 

Mursion is a combination of state-of-the-art hardware and software tools that blend human interaction with artificial intelligence to create realistic and dynamic simulations of classroom experiences. A variety of adult avatars and student avatars ranging from pre-school to high school age are brought to life on a large screen through a mixture of voice acting and avatars. These real-time interactions create authentic opportunities for students to engage in classroom management, family engagement, and other classroom challenges.
