What schools qualify to apply for the AI in CS Program of Study?
Only currently designated CD/CO schools are qualified to apply.

Will there be an AI CAE designation?
At this time, there are no plans for an AI CAE designation. While the possibility of a future AI-specific designation is being considered, it is currently seen as the inaugural specialty in a potential series, similar to Computer Science (CS) in Medicine or CS and Quantum. The focus is on exploring specialized areas within AI rather than establishing a designation outright. Decisions on this will be guided by ongoing pilots and evaluations over the coming years.
When will the pilot launch?
The pilot will launch in Spring 2025.
We will announce plans in March 2025 once we see how things are going.
