Andrea Roche is an International Business student who will be graduating this December. She decided to come to Towson due to its location and her love of exploring downtown Baltimore. Andrea fell in love with traveling from a very young age and wanted to pursue a major that allowed her the opportunity to have a career based around international travel. She is the co-founder and co-president of a new club on Towson’s campus called Fashion & Business Tigers. She came up with the idea for this club when she realized she wanted Towson’s campus to be more involved in the world of fashion. With co-founder and co-president Caiti Olberding, Andrea looks forward to making Towson a more fashion forward campus.
Andrea’s interest in the fashion world has translated over to her internship experience thus far. Previously, she was an intern at a fashion advertising agency, in charge of seeking out lesser known international clothing brands. She is currently an assistant to a fashion stylist where she handles the marketing to ensure everything remains sensitive to the international culture it is catered towards. Andrea would love to use her International Business degree once she graduates by working as a fashion stylist to help reduce the carbon footprint around the world. She also wants to ensure that any brand she works for is able to reach an international audience.
In five years, Andrea sees herself traveling around the world as a fashion stylist and sending her Towson connections around to recruit new potential talent. Her ten-year goal is to recruit students from Towson to work for her own brand; she will focus her brand on sustainability and global involvement. She knows that the quickest ways to get fashion items made are not always the most environmentally friendly, so she would like to find a way to change that.
