Ready? Set…Hired! Imagine you are at the starting line in a race to get an internship at Enterprise. You have ten other students competing against you, and you are at the end of the race. You are so close to first place, and you need to impress the Enterprise recruiter with your resume and professionalism. So I ask you, are you ready to get hired?
The College of Business and Economics is taking the traditional career fair to the next level. The first-ever CBE Career Ready Day is an all-day event that provides students the opportunity to network with employers who recruit students specifically from Towson for jobs and internships. Some of the participating employers are Enterprise, ADP, Kohl’s, Morgan Stanley, T. Rowe Price, and Stanley Black & Decker. You will be able to connect with these employers while enjoying a FREE lunch and the opportunity to win giveaway prizes like an iPad or $50 gift cards to the TU Bookstore!

Students will be given the opportunity to engage with employers who are looking specifically for business, accounting, and economics students. Keep in mind that you should dress your best (professional attire) and come prepared with at least 20 copies of your resume to give to recruiters for potential job and internship positions. You should also come with a good attitude to ensure you make a great first impression!
Lunch & Keynote Presentation: “SNAP Into Five Seconds of Guts” (11:45 a.m. – 12:45 p.m.)
West Village Commons Ballroom C
Students can register for lunch with the recruiters and listen to a special presentation about how to deal with confrontation in the workplace. This presentation takes a unique approach to the subject, and is especially relevant for all CBE students.
Breakout Sessions (1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.)
West Village Commons Rooms 304, 305, and 306
Each session will be 50 minutes, and there will be three different tracks that you can attend: Professional Development, Searching for Jobs, and BUSX 460. As a part of the BUSX 460 track, there will be BUSX 460 information sessions available for students to attend and learn more about the internship class and its requirements. Keep in mind that attending a BUSX 460 information session is mandatory as a prerequisite to register for the course, so this is a great time to do so. For each breakout session you come to, you will be entered for a chance to win a free iPad!
If you want to attend, please register for the event at CBE Career Ready Day. You can also see a more-detailed schedule of the breakout sessions and each of the interesting topics that will be discussed.
We hope to see a lot of CBE students at the event!
