The intern will receive exposure to screening applicants, recruiting and interviewing candidates for Stella Maris for some selected positions.
The intern will receive exposure to on-boarding and the orientation process learning the regulatory requirements for employees in the state of Maryland (with particular focus on Health Care regarding licensure etc.).
The intern will receive exposure and project work pertaining to organizational communication and assist with programs such as the company intranet, newsletter, email and bulletin board communication and employee incentive programs.
One major project will be assigned during each rotation to include a goal/initiative the HR department is addressing for the fiscal year. For example, interns may be tasked to develop employee surveys and/or be asked to run focus group meetings with samplings of employees in order to obtain information regarding a new policy/procedure, a job dissatisfier, or an incentive the employees would like to see explored and implemented, etc. Another example, interns may be tasked to develop a new protocol for the office in order to increase efficiency, etc.
