Towson University’s Climate, Weather, and Society minor provides insights into the complex relationships between human systems and atmospheric processes. Students explore atmospheric principles and meteorological phenomenon such as heat waves, drought, hurricanes, and severe weather. Students learn to collect, analyze, and interpret data and communicate risk. Additional courses on global climate change, environmental policy, chemistry, environmental hazards, and geospatial technology make this program quite interdisciplinary!
The skills learned through this minor will translate across fields in environmental policy, emergency management, mass communication, government, and industry, or graduate work in environmental or physical geography.
