Background Check – Required of All TU Student Teaching in Both PDS and Non-PDS Placements
- All TU student teachers will need to complete an application using the following link: Student Teaching Interns/Practicum 2024-20245 (Job ID#2380)
- No placement will be considered without the submission of the student-teacher application.
- Student teachers will be assigned a required checklist which will include the following:
- fingerprinting,
- assigning the Safe Schools Training modules, and
- setting up a Calvertnet email address.
- The training modules must be completed before a placement can be made.
- Once a placement has been confirmed, Human Resources will reach out to the student, host teacher, and program coordinator to let everyone know of the placement.
NOTE: Students do not contact school administrators or teachers directly as ALL student teacher placements must go through the Calvert County Public Schools Human Resources vetting process.
