Towson University was awarded a Cooperative Agreement (#70NANB23H276) from NIST’s Measurement Science and Engineering Grant Program for the project, “Standardized DNA Training Curriculum for the United States” in September 2023. The project will be completed by the end of September 2025.
The DNA training curriculum may be used for lab training, classes, and/or refresher courses at no cost with attribution. It includes ten slide decks containing almost 450 slides and dozens of original figures. Scripts and audio for each deck are provided via links below. The content can be used as a whole or in part or remixed with credit to the author and illustrators. A multiple choice assessment is available and will be provided to qualified instructors.
The DNA training curriculum is expressly provided “AS IS.” NIST MAKES NO WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS, IMPLIED OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, THE IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND DATA ACCURACY. NIST does not warrant or make any representations regarding the use of the curriculum, its contents, or the results obtained therefrom, including but not limited to the correctness, accuracy, reliability, or usefulness of the curriculum.
