- MBA in Finance, 1976 from George Washington University with a concentration in international business and finance.
- BS in Business Administration, 1961 from Mount St. Mary’s College with a major in accounting and a minor in economics.
- Completed approximately 1,100 hours of continuing professional education work since 1975, in job related fields, the most significant of which have been, business computer applications and in statistical sampling for CPA’s.

- CPA in Maryland, 1970, and retired sole practitioner concentrated in tax planning and management consulting services. CPA in District of Columbia, 1964, but not practicing in the district.
- Advanced computer skills with Lotus, Quattro Pro, Excel, Dbase-III+ and Access, as well as several accounting and business software applications such as Quicken, Quickbooks, and Peachtree.

- Associate Dean of the School of Business & Economics 1989-94. Responsible for A.A.C.S.B. self study reports for Accounting and Business accreditation, administration of School admission program, and acting director of Center for Ar ea Resource Development.
- Acting Dean of the School of Business & Economics, 1995.
- Associate Professor of Accounting, and Department Chairman 1982-89. Responsible for the administration of the academic program for 500+ student majors, 16 full time faculty, and 15 part time faculty.
- Member of A.I.C.P.A., the Maryland Association of CPA’s (MACPA), and A.A.A. Member of Auditing Standards Committee (MACPA) 1985-89 (chairman 1988-89) and 150 Hour Requirement Task Force 1989-91. Member of the Board of Directors, MACPA (1996-97 ).
