Students compete in analytics challenges

Marketing
A team of students mentored by assistant professor of marketing Gema Vinulaes participated in the annual Google Online Marketing Challenge earlier this year and the results are in.

The annual competition is open to undergraduate and graduate students from all disciplines. Each team of three to six members is given a $250 Google AdWords budget to run an online advertising campaign for a three-week period. Campaigns are judged based on statistics, structure and implementation.

Competitive spirit thrives at CBE

It’s a dog-eat-dog world, so the saying goes. The culture of friendly competition is spreading at CBE.

In 2014, the college welcomed its inaugural case competition in supply chain management, marketing and finance. Local business partners provide cases and act as judges as teams present their findings. The winning teams are invited to the Weinman Cup competition, a regional event hosted by Towson University.
