Offering undergraduate students many opportunities to engage in meaningful research experiences is an important part of my teaching. I directed a number of research projects that involved students.
Some projects were on topics of interest to the students. I say more about them on the page describing Individual projects.
Three other projects were done as part of the Applied Mathematics Laboratory.
Projects that are part of my own research agenda that involved students are listed in the Research section of this site: the recent project on applications of model theory to machine learning questions, as well as projects on evaluation of mathematics placement and on questions in approximation theory all involved students.
