Today we are spotlighting Jakari Partlow. Jakari has been with our office the longest out of our student staff and we are going to miss having her as part of our team. Below Jakari shares a little about her experience and future plans:
What are your post-undergraduate plans and what do you hope to achieve in the future?
“My post-graduate plans are to get a job as a financial advisor 🙂I already received the job!!”
“My role in the office was as a peer advisor and I learned how to effectively advise students, enhance my marketing skills, and effectively communicate with students. In addition, I also improved my public speaking tremendously in this position.”
“I absolutely believe that I will be able to apply my study abroad experience to my future career.”
“Advice that I would give to incoming study abroad students would be to always be open-minded. Becoming a global citizen has always taught to be understanding of different cultures, mindsets, values which will help you in life and any career.”
Final thoughts?
“I love working for this office. It has expanded my leadership abilities in so many ways and kept me very active on campus.”
