Towson Abroad is pleased to announce that three Towson students have been awarded Spring 2016 CIEE Grants to study abroad at CIEE Open Campuses in Berlin, Germany and London, England. These grants are provided by the Council on International Education Exchange (CIEE) in support of their commitment to the IIE: Generation Study Abroad Pledge to increase access to the international experience. Andrew DiNunno is a Wilmington, Delaware native majoring in Psychology with a concentration in Clinical and Neurobiological Psychology. Andrew will be studying abroad during the spring 2016 semester at the CIEE Global Institute in London, England.
Andrew first learned about the CIEE grant during this fall’s study abroad fair. Lucky for him, there was a grant offered specifically for students planning on studying in London, one of his top destinations!

In the future, Andrew plans to incorporate international travel into his life by hiking across Tongariro National Park in New Zealand to see all of the places used as scenery for The Lord of the Rings trilogy.

Katelyn Farrell is Pittsgrove, New Jersey native in her sophomore year at Towson University studying Pre-Occupational Therapy with a minor in Applied Adult Disability Studies. In the spring she will be studying in the Council on International Educational Exchange (CIEE) program in Berlin, Germany.
Katelyn learned about the CIEE grant opportunity through the Towson Study Abroad Office. She is looking forward to the opportunity to explore Germany as well as other European countries while taking classes and living in a different culture. Katelyn is excited about the chance to experience life in a different country and learn a new language.

She has been inspired by this opportunity to travel to many other places internationally in the future. She hopes to continue her education while following through with personal ambitions and pursuing travels abroad.
