Today we are spotlighting Allison Taylor, who participated in a Spring 2019 study abroad program. Below you can check out her responses:
Where you studied and when:
“I studied in Florence, Italy at the Lorenzo de Medici Italian institute, my sophomore year in spring 2019.”
Your major and/or minor:
“I’m a business administration major with a track in leadership and management and a minor in art history.”
What you’re doing or plan to do after graduation:
“After graduation I am extending my role in retail management to help provide people with an enjoyable experience and creative problem solving and relationship maintenance.”
Any achievements from your time at TU:
“While at TU I was involved in the marketing and sales competition, mock interview competition, received my certification in excel, participated in the social justice retreat as well as the leadership retreat.”
Short reflection of your favorite memory from your time abroad:
“My favorite memory of my time in Italy was to leave the classroom every single day and walk the historic streets together to learn about artwork in their museums directly, and strawberry with dark chocolate gelato.”
Your advice to current TU students who may be considering studying abroad in the future:
“My advice to current TU students is to study abroad as early as you can, it will provide amazing experiences and insights you can build off of later, and don’t be afraid to take new risks.”
