During my free weekend in Spain I was able to travel to Valencia for the weekend with my roommates. We found an inexpensive hotel and bus and went to the coast for the weekend. Everyone recommended staying on hostels but we thought that we would be more comfortable in a hotel. It was right next to an outdoor shopping area and the bus to the beach stopped right outside. We met some men from Ireland that were at their friend’s bachelor party in Valencia and it was a blast. It was so cool to see the Mediterranean because I have only seen the Gulf of Mexico and the Atlantic Ocean before. The night life was so different than that in Madrid and it was a great over all experience. There was a lot we did not get to do because we were short on time but it is definitely someplace I would go back to.
