Groundbreaking research has begun. The purpose of this research study is to design and field test an instrument to be used to measure teachers’ technology preparedness for teaching in a one-to-one learning environment. Preparedness will be measured against predefined one-to-one teaching competencies. The design of this research and the resulting instrument is guided by the Instrument Development and Construct Validations process (IDCV) adapted from Onwuegbuzie et al. (2010) and will optimize the creation of a quantitative instrument through the use of mixed methods approaches to data collection and analysis.
