For Students

Maybe you can’t make the PCC office hours? Maybe you’re on a deadline and need a quick refresher of what is necessary in an introduction or conclusion? Maybe you just want to read on how to be a more efficient and empowering speaker?

In the Speaking Resources tab you will find both Helpful Articles and Resources and Quick Tips Sheets!

Helpful Articles and Resources contain outside web articles that make it easy for you to relate to and get tips from someone with valuable speech experience. What does speech look like at different schools? In the workforce? These articles may be helpful if you are having trouble grasping an idea from class, from a mentoring session, or from your class readings! They are quick, painless, and loaded with AWESOME tips! Check ’em out, send us an article you have found or suggest an article topic you’d like to see!

Quick Tips Sheets contain the Public Communication Center’s very own content. We created these tip sheets based on what we saw our students’ having the most trouble with in our appointments. Need help with an introduction, conclusion, or organizational pattern? This is the place for you!

Your mentor may suggest for you to reference a specific Quick Tip Sheet or Article after your appointment! These articles are free and are here any student who needs a refresher!
