ESTL paper on elevated ions in urban streams

We published a paper, entitled “Nonpoint source contributions drive elevated major ion and dissolved inorganic carbon concentrations in urban watersheds” in Environmental Science & Technology Letters. Co-authors are undergraduate geology major, Seth Dobbis, and two Environmental Science M.S. students, Darcy Bird and Greg Woodward. We found that most major ions, including calcium and bicarbonate, increase substantially with impervious surface cover.
