Enactus team places second in regional ethics competition

A team of five students from the Enactus Towson University, USA chapter won second place in a regional case competition hosted by Mount St. Mary’s University earlier this month.

The annual Ethics Case Competition is sponsored by the BB&T Center for the Study of the Moral Foundations of Capitalism and brings students students together annually to participate in case discussions and debates involving free enterprise and business ethics.

The Towson team cinched the second place position for their presentation and analysis of the Volkswagen emissions scandal. The team members were Meredith Price, Manish Kanjipuram, Obinna Akparanta, Megan Price and Caroline Johnston, who were mentored by assistant management professor Lori Ellison.

Last month, the Towson Enactus chapter was named one of several regional champions in the Enactus regional competition in Washington, D.C. The team will be competing at the national level in May.
